The Worcester Palladium was electrified with a sense of indie charm as Mom Jeans, Summer Salt, Hunny and Born Without Bones took the stage on March 17, 2024. The dynamic lineup promised a night full of catchy melodies and infectious energy, and it was certainly delivered, leaving the audience craving more long after the last chords rang out. Each night of the tour has a theme and Worcesters was “overalls,” and mostly everyone in the crowd came prepared. Massachusetts locals, Born Without Bones, wasted no time bringing the vibes and kicking the night off right.
Known for their mix of indie rock and pop, Hunny, was next to grace the Palladium stage. With their energetic stage presence and catchy choruses, they wasted no time in setting the tone for the evening. With tracks like, “Vowels (and the Importance of Being Me),” they had the audience dancing and singing along, showcasing the band’s knack for producing catchy tunes.
With dreamy soundscapes and sun-soaked melodies, Summer Salt was up. Their breezy tones of indie pop perfectly captured the feelings of carefree summer days in the middle of March in Massachusetts, inviting the audience to bask in the warmth of their infectious grooves.
After much anticipation, Mom Jeans took the stage, donning their overalls of course. The band wasted no time immersing the crowd in their heartfelt anthems and seamlessly showcasing their versatility as musicians. Each song felt like a journey, drawing the audience further into the band’s world with every chord progression. By the time they closed out the night with an encore performance of “Scott Pilgrim vs. My GPA,” it was clear that Mom Jeans had left a mark on everyone in attendance.
For fans of indie rock and emo revival, this lineup was an absolute dream come true, offering a perfect blend of nostalgia and charm that left us eagerly waiting for the next moment we can experience it all again.
