K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN has revealed their full tracklist for their latest album 17 IS RIGHT HERE to waiting fans and listeners around the world. They have promised an anticipated release of 8 Japanese singles as Korean versions, 4 new songs, and a rerelease of 20 lead singles from previous Korean releases (including an instrumental of their debut single, “Adore U”).
SEVENTEEN is a South Korean boy group consisting of thirteen members S. Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino). They have been active for nine years total, and have risen to a high acclaim in music both nationally and worldwide. Their debut song, “Adore U,” is a refreshing hip-hop sound with a classic love song writing. The talent and determination of this group is the key to their success, plus the loyal fanbase in both South Korea and worldwide.
What sets SEVENTEEN apart from other K-pop groups is their unique member distribution system. Within the thirteen members, there are three subunits that contain specifically gifted members. There is the vocal unit, hip-hop unit, and performance unit. In true SEVENTEEN fashion, 17 IS RIGHT HERE contains a piece from each unit. The vocal unit will release “Cheers to youth,” the hip-hop unit will release “Lalali,” and the performance team will release “Spell.”
Three different versions of the album will be released, respectively titled “Here,” “Hear,” and “Dear.” The visual style of “Here” and “Hear” have already been unveiled. “Here” showcases each member within a room full of easter eggs from their previous album releases, as well as the album titles of past work printed on the floor nearest to the album’s star member. “Hear” has an iconic k-pop look to the image releases, featuring each member in a fashion-editorial-style photos, with the setting paying homage to the previous work.
This latest album is destined to exhibit the originality of SEVENTEEN’s work, while also showing reverence to their incredible discography. As this is no simple feat, the k-pop group has promised to deliver fans a full album of both their classic favorites and new work that will bring their fans joy. 17 IS RIGHT HERE is set to deliver on April 29 at 6 PM KST (2 AM PDT).
